NM FIESTA Project Training: Understanding Behaviors as Communication
By the end of this training, participants will be able to explain how their child’s behaviors can communicate needs or past experiences, identify at least three common behavior‑messages (e.g., fear, seeking safety, unmet needs), and practice two trauma‑informed responses that honor the message while supporting connection and repair.
An email will be sent following registration with more information.
The NM FIESTA Project managed by All Faiths Children’s Advocacy Center focuses on creating a support system for all resource, kinship, and adoptive families in New Mexico through networking events, training, and connection to resources. All services are free of charge. For more information about the NM FIESTA Project please contact Katie Bustamante, NM FIESTA Project Statewide Supervisor, at kbustamante@allfaiths.org or 505-918-0221.
